North Korea probably hasn’t executed anyone using anti-aircraft guns

North Korea

Greg Scarlatiou (a nice, unbiased source) has a totally convincing argument that last October North Korea probably maybe quite possibly executed some people using anti-aircraft guns.

Unfortunately, this story comes plodding onto the scene after a dozen or so other stories about North Korea’s gruesome executions have been comprehensively debunked, so even if it turns out to be gospel truth it has little chance of being believed.

And here’s the thing: it’s not as though Scarlatiou’s trying to character-assassinate Mother Theresa here. We have stacks of good information about North Korea’s horrific human rights abuses already. Why gild the lily?

On the other hand, while executing people who irk me using an anti-aircraft gun had never really occurred to me before, I now have an elaborate stock of fantasies to get me through my next semester’s classes, so at least there’s that.
